I need this second keyboard for boring-to-tell reasons. The normal keyboard works fine but the external USB one doesn’t. It comes with no disc or drivers and the usb receiver is just plug and play. I will surely help you to fix this issue. Ask a Question Usually answered in minutes!

It’s like it isn’t there. How satisfied are you with this response? The normal keyboard works fine but the external USB one doesn’t. I don’t want to lay blame on anyone but it seems Microsoft must have missed some clean-up procedures during the Hateway 10 upgrade. Keyboard not recognized on start up. Device drivers are released by the manufacturers. Everything works well; the keyboard that came with the pc is a key MCIR. The time now is Hi, Gaetway just bought a Trust Thinity wireless media keyboard.
However, after careful searching of others in this community with the same problem keyboard not working on various brands of computers after Windows 10 upgrade I decided to try the simplest troubleshooting method I read about.
No new drivers or BIOS update needed. I have tried a variety of different keyboards and different drivers.

The one gatsway I am typing on is too small. As a workaround you may also try to install latest driver in compatibility mode from the manufacturer website.

Nope, the KB isn’t completely clean – you have a key that wureless staying stuck down – usually some dirt in it. I realize this is an older PC but the upgrade should not cause the keyboard to stop working.

I have W7 Home Premium. I recently purchased an HP pavillion with Windows 7 installed.
My KB – was set to “custom” and then it let me chose my browser, mail program. Go to the keyboard tab and see if there is a driver listed.
